Preparing For What's To Come
Good parents, teachers and pastors prepare their children, students and flock for the future. They must not shield from us the tests of life but prepare us for the tests of life.
God will prepare us and allow us to receive preparation for what is to come.
Readiness begins with relationship.
Without proper relationships in life we will not be in a position to accomplish the things that God has prepared for us.
We can approach this with a prideful attitude and keep us from connecting in the way we need to. As the church, we are a "many membered body", and there are things that we cannot do or overcome without others (Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 12:12). When it comes to the Church, God positions us and plants us and connects us where we should be (1 Corinthians 12:18).
It is too late to start a relationship to get the help you need in your crisis. None of the helps that God had prepared for you through relationships will be available to you if you don't have any.
The most essential relationship we can have is with God through Jesus. This relationship must be developed and cultivated.
One of the most resisted relationships today is the believer's relationship with the Holy Spirit. Yet this is a definitive relationship for every believer. If you don't have a relationship with the Holy Spirit then how can you walk in the power of the Holy Spirit?
Relationships are essential to be prepared for what is to come.
Changes are coming. What are you doing to prepare for them?
