The devil is looking to gain access into our lives and influence us away from God and His purpose for our lives. The Bible exhorts us to be aware of the plots and schemes of the devil, as well as warns us of sin's desire to control us.
Jesus overcame the devil and He empowers us so that we can overcome the devil also. Through His example we can gain insight into the methods the devil uses and how to stop the his influence before it starts.
