The Bible contains many stories of reconciliation like with Jacob and Esau, Joseph and his twelve brothers, the prodigal son and his father. Reconciliation is not a one-sided thing. To make reconciliation work, both parties have to be willing to do the right thing. One party is in the wrong and must exercise humility and acknowledge what they did. The other party must be gracious and open to forgiveness. Although the Biblical stories are powerful examples of people overcoming great issues between themselves, they do not compare to the gulf between sinful humanity and a holy God. The only for there to be reconciliation was for God to send a Mediator. In this message by Pastor Chris Phillips explore the important truth that Jesus came for reconciliation.
