Conscience is a tool given by God to provide direction and wisdom. If we follow the leading of our conscience we will experience the benefits of a clean life and spiritual maturity. When you conscience is working, you are conscious of others and become aware of the suffering of people around you and are motivated to do something to alleviate those needs. When the Holy Spirit awakens our cleansed conscience we become selfless instead of self-absorbed.
